Jacob Bryant

Jacob Bryant

One of Nashville's best kept secrets is talented powerhouse vocalist Jacob Bryant.
Bryant has a sound that blends the narrative aspects of country with
the kick of southern rock. Through a series of independent EPs and
relentless touring, Bryant has built a solid cult following showcasing
his honest, lived-in lyrics. The rural North Georgia native earning
his stripes playing honky tonks, auditoriums, fairs, and making his Grand
Ole Opry debut in February 2022.

Bryant grew up in a musical family playing bluegrass. Family tragedy pushed him deeper into his craft shedding light on life’s darkest corners, using a booming pure-country baritone to enhance both music and message. He made his first songwriting
mark co-writing "Out There" with Luke Combs on Combs' multi-platinum album, "This One's For You" and has also toured with Cody Johnson and performed at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium with Dolly Parton.

Bryant’s new album BAR STOOL PREACHER (released Jan 14, 2022) is a collection that reflects hard work, passion, and true life. Bryant’s BAR STOOL PREACHER TOUR is underway, and it was a true honor and pleasure to have Jacob Bryant perform on October 7, 2022 on the new outdoor stage at The Brewhouse at Cliff View as part of his 2022 BAR STOOL PREACHER TOUR.

Josh Pantry

Born Joshua A. Christian , Josh is a Charleston, WV native. Previously featured in the Charleston Gazette for song writing, his career is growing and flourishing .
Many ask where the name Pantry came from. Josh’s friends were quite the rowdy bunch and he recalls spending many nights in a place called “the dirty paradise” ( a home occupied by his best friends ) . He soon made his room in the pantry, and his friends started calling him Pantry. That’s how the name was born and it stuck.
Josh Started playing music around 2014 , with the 3 songs he knew . He brought all his friends to an open mic, the bar offered him his own show and the rest is history! Setting the attendance record on a Tuesday in Charleston, Josh played many Tuesdays for a tip jar and a free meal.

Time has passed and Josh knows a little more than 3 songs now! Postal Worker by day, performer by night, Josh had shared the stage with acts like Daryle Singletary , Charles Wesley Godwin , Bill Dotson , The Davisson Brothers , Julia Cole , Mikele Buck , and Cody Wickline . Josh and his band, bring it every time they hit the stage .
All members former and present have extensive Pop Punk musical backgrounds .

Josh accredits that to what separates him from other country bands .
Recently featured at Charleston’s ‘Live on the Levee’ , National Trail Fest and The Clay Centers ‘Sound Check Sessions ‘ Josh is now a seasoned pro . Each event shows his wide range of talent. He plays with a full band, or solo with an acoustic guitar. Josh offers singer/songwriter sessions playing his own hits like ‘God Bless West Virginia’, ‘Boys From the Creek ‘ & ‘Memphis or Chattanooga’ . Josh also has a very energetic 3-4 hour cover show , where he plays other artists’ songs ranging from The Backstreet Boys , Metallica , Hank Williams Jr , to Blink 182 . The Brewhouse at Cliff View is excited to have Josh Pantry Christian debut on our outdoor stage in July 2023!

Sahwn Benfield

Shawn Benfield

Hailing from the hills of Southern West Virginia, one could call his music Americana, but that narrows it down far too much. This is just plain great music. Fans of Dave Rawlings Machine, Justin Townes Earle, and Drive By Truckers will enjoy this. Their vibe is felt throughout, but make no mistake, Benfield and crew create their own distinct sound and style.

Shawn has released an ep "The Shorter It Gets, The Harder It Hits..." (Nominated for 4 Josie Independent Music Awards) and his latest album "Way Of The World" to critical acclaim. He has performed on Lexington's famed Red Barn Radio, The Jerry Springer Podcast, Ohio River Revival and more. Shawn has also shared stages with Arlo McKinley, Josh Morningstar, Hank IV, Justin Wells, and Sunny Sweeney to name a few.

Benfield's original music is a sound all it's own cultivated from a wide variety of influences from Steve Earle, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Billy Joe Shaver and the Texas greats to Pete Yorn, Elliott Smith, and the Foo Fighters. Shawn's show is a must see!

The Switch

The Switch

The Switch is a young, high energy hard rock band from southern West Virginia. Formed in 2018, the band came together in high school. Living in a small town, they were the only musicians in the area. In the garage they worked playing classic rock for hours and hours on end.

After getting tight, they then took the next step: writing original material. With the band having so many influences, the process produced a unique sound. The root of the band’s sound is in the blues. This is where the soulful voice of the group comes from. This mixed with the crunchy sounds of hard rock creates The Switch sound.

On the stage, the band begins the process of giving their all. The stage is war zone. They bring a youthful enthusiasm that is present on stage. It’s not just music, it’s a show. They’ve previously performed at Charleston’s Live on the Levee, opening for Lez Zeppelin and won the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta’s Battle of the Bands.

Currently, The Switch has two singles out on all streaming platforms. Speak of the Devil is a powerful, guitar driven song, with a hooky chorus. Bad Girl is a raunchy, bluesy rock song. The band’s self-titled EP was released on January 1, 2023.

Will Reid

It was easy to become so engrossed by music growing up in the Reid household. As a child, Will would spend hours watching, listening, and singing along as his dad would jam with his bluegrass band. From an early age, Will was influenced by music from artists such as J. D. Crowe, The Country Gentlemen, and Doyle Lawson to name only a few. When not indulging in bluegrass music, Will would yield his attention to classic country artists such as Vern Gosdin, Charlie Pride, and Conway Twitty. Old vinyl was always readily available in the Reid home.

The love of old-style music would follow Will throughout his school years to his senior year where he would start a bluegrass entourage of his own. Every weekend you could find Will playing alongside his band at some cakewalk, carnival, or church. It wasn’t until a year or so after the dispersal of the band, that Will started taking on local solo and duet shows; playing all of those old grass and country songs, a few 90’s country songs and an original or two.

In 2019 while at dinner at a local pub, Will asked the musician providing entertainment that night to play a song with him. The musician reluctantly agreed. Little to his knowledge, this musician was Bruce Allen, CEO of Jordash Records. Two years later, Will is working alongside Bruce, living out his dream as a recording artist in Nashville.

Will incorporates his love for strong lyrics, 90’s era theme, and new age style all into one unique sound and we are honored that The Brewhouse at Cliff View is a spot you can regularly find Will Reid on stage.
